We are hiring a Senior Land & Project Manager in Eastern Canada!

We work across a range of industries, including oil and gas, renewable energy, pipelines, infrastructure, telecommunications, transportation, utilities, and more. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to support projects and operations across Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.

The ideal candidate will have a broad base of experience either working for a Land company, in-house at a development or infrastructure company, or within another related industry sector. The successful candidate will be directly involved in project management, consultation, acquisition, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of projects with our administration team and clients. Your focus will be on delivering quality Land services and exceeding our clients’ and our expectations.
You will be working on a variety of projects in several industries, primarily renewables, infrastructure, telecommunications, transportation, utilities, and oil and gas. You will also be working with some of the best clients in the industry and a first-class team of land professionals within an organization that has been a leader in land services for over 30 years.
Skills required for success in this role:
- The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in land acquisition, right-of-way, or infrastructure-related project work.
- Direct experience performing field Land Agent work is required.
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle within the land services industry.
- Proven project management and team leadership experience.
- Experience managing clients, project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects at once.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity, ethics, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
- Strong computer and reporting skills.
- Strategic and creative thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
- Experience supporting renewable energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, transportation, utility, or pipeline projects is considered a strong asset.
- Review and comprehension of legal agreements, survey plans, and project layout documents.
- Must be able to travel and have access to a reliable vehicle.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Active membership with the International Right of Way Association is considered an asset but is not essential.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee land and right-of-way projects across Ontario, Quebec, and Eastern Canada.
- Manage project execution from planning, budgeting, scheduling, field delivery, reporting, and closeout.
- Lead resources on the negotiation and acquisition of property for renewable, infrastructure, telecommunications, utility, ROW, and other surface-related projects.
- Coordinate project teams and resources to ensure projects are completed safely, professionally, on time, and within budget.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, stakeholders, contractors, landowners, and regulatory agencies.
- Perform and oversee complex land acquisition and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Respond to client RFPs and assist with proposals, budgeting, forecasting, schedules, deliverables, and change orders.
- Provide strategic guidance on project execution, staffing, client management, and operational efficiencies.
- Support and mentor Land Agents, project staff, and field personnel.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project updates, timelines, forecasts, and reports for clients and internal teams.
- Represent Scott Land and our clients in community, stakeholder, and regulatory meetings.
- Gather and organize knowledge of local land use, development, and permitting processes.
- Assist with operational leadership, resource planning, and team utilization within Eastern Canada operations.
- Travel as required to support project and client needs.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required.
