Macro Project Intelligence

Key Areas of Focus

Scott Land evaluates municipalities, power availability, permitting challenges, and regional infrastructure to inform project planning. Our analysis includes political and regulatory factors, related commercial activities, connectivity and land ownership. The resulting data is customized to each project’s location, scale, and objectives.

Siting, Routing, & Analysis

We specialize in the evaluation and selection of optimal sites for data centre development by analyzing proximity to fibre and power infrastructure, land conditions, accessibility, regulatory and permitting feasibility. We then assess infrastructure through GIS modeling, aerial analysis, and fieldwork to confirm practical constructability and access. Our deliverables include validated land and infrastructure options, summary reports, and GIS visuals that inform decisions and highlight any on-the-ground constraints.

GIS & Mapping

Our in-house GIS team provides detailed mapping that support site selection, by showing routing, permitting and obstacles . These maps can include infrastructure overlays, utility corridors, environmental/development constraints, and ownership data. The deliverables are clean, scalable, and easily shareable for internal planning and external collaboration.

Acquisition & Permitting

Our acquisition team manages permitting, regulatory support, acquisition and planning for data centres, connectivity networks, and energy infrastructure projects. We secure municipal, provincial, and utility approvals, negotiate with stakeholders, managing timelines, and access requirements to keep projects moving.
